Penerapan Metode Montessori dalam Menumbuhkan Minat Baca Peserta Didik Kelas 1 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu Al-Hamid

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode Montessori dalam menumbuhkan minat baca peserta didik kelas I Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu (MIT) Al-Hamid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, serta tes pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa, yang ditandai dengan kenaikan rata-rata nilai pretest dari 66,74 pada siklus I menjadi 77,42 pada siklus II, serta rata-rata nilai posttest dari 73,04 pada siklus I menjadi 86,67 pada siklus II. Selain itu, aktivitas belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan pada aspek keaktifan, perhatian, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode Montessori terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan minat baca peserta didik, serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan strategi pembelajaran di madrasah dasar.
