Abstract

This study aims to enhance the knowledge of pregnant women, mothers of toddlers, and community cadres regarding balanced nutrition through nutrition education using the PANDAI-GO Book and complementary food (MP-ASI) cooking demonstrations as an effort to prevent stunting in Pasarean Village, Pamijahan Subdistrict, Bogor Regency. The activity was implemented through four stages, namely planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation, using a participatory approach that included counseling sessions, distribution of educational media, and hands-on cooking demonstrations. A total of 20 participants took part in this program. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests to measure changes in participants’ knowledge, followed by analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results indicated a significant increase in knowledge after the educational activities, as reflected in the difference between pre-test and post-test scores. The program also improved participants’ skills in processing local food ingredients into nutritious MP-ASI. These findings demonstrate that the integration of printed educational media and practical demonstrations is an effective method for enhancing nutrition literacy and promoting positive behavioral changes related to complementary feeding as part of stunting prevention efforts.
