Gadget addiction has become a phenomenon that affects the cognitive, spiritual, and social development of individuals, leading to brain rot in the long run. Islamic education, through the tafsir tarbawy approach, offers solutions to address these negative impacts by emphasizing balance, time management, and avoiding excessive behavior. This study aims to explain the concept of Islamic education in overcoming brain rot due to gadget addiction. The method employed is a literature review that examines various Quranic verses related to this issue, as well as the principles of tarbawy that can be applied in the context of modern education. The findings show that integrating Islamic education through tarbiyah aqliyah (cognitive), ruhiyah (spiritual), and jasadiyah (physic), along with preventive, curative, and developmental approaches—including digital wellness education, Islamic character development, screen time regulation, digital detox, Islamic counseling, spiritual therapy, positive hobby development, digital literacy improvement, and self-empowerment—can form a holistic and effective educational system in addressing gadget addiction.
