Abstract

The problem of bullying in the school environment is a global issue that is increasingly receiving serious attention. This research aims to describe the role of guidance and counseling teachers in handling bullying cases at MAN 1 Pekalongan City. The research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and observation to collect data. The research results show that bullying at MAN 1 Pekalongan City occurs in three main forms: physical, verbal and psychological. Handling of bullying carried out by guidance and counseling teachers includes preventive measures, counseling and coaching, providing supervision, and home visits. This research concludes that guidance and counseling teachers have a very important role in creating a safe and conducive school environment. The existence of guidance and counseling teachers as a place for students to share problems and develop good character is very necessary to prevent and overcome cases of bullying.
